The Dr. William N. Penzer Mental Health Scholarship Fund provides counseling and mental health services to students and graduates of the Youth Automotive Training Center. Dr. Penzer was an advocate for YATC from the start, serving on the Board of Directors from 1991-1996, and then on the Advisory Board, while also providing counseling and guidance for students and graduates. Perhaps most significantly, Dr. Penzer, or Bill as he preferred to be called by all, helped to break the stigma of mental health treatment among students and graduates, leading to the implementation of counseling services as a regular resource offered by YATC.
